Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Restaurant Week

Typically when you head to Atlanta’s massive airport it’s to travel somewhere else or come back home; you usually don’t hang out and have a nice meal, right?! Well, you probably should be. Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has a wide array of amazing restaurants, bars and cafes to choose from. So many choices so it can be quite overwhelming and with more being added you could spend a lot of time at our airport eating great food.

Well, to introduce you to some of the great restaurants our airport has to offer, they are having a Taste of Hartsfield-Jackson Day. On November the 8th from 11am-3pm you can pay $15 and get ten bites from a selection of restaurants inside the airport.

Even better, some proceeds from the event will go towards the great charity No Kid Hungry that focuses on helping feed families in the US and abroad.

I was able to get a sneak peak of some of the restaurants that will be participating in the event recently and had a blast. We started off checking out the runway and seeing the planes up close and personal before we moved into the airport to start the feast!

We started with some amazing seafood and cocktails from Jekyll Island seafood which was so fresh and flavorful.

I really loved the shrimp and grits too!

Next we headed to Mustard Seed BBQ where they actually smoke their meats IN HOUSE, yes, in the airport is a BBQ joint that smokes their own meats. They also have a killer banana pudding and delicious sides. A massive bar and friendly staff are great additions.

Next up was the newly opened Bobby’s Burger Palace. With some amazing burger options that correlated with their namesake city or just mouthwatering like the Bobby Blue burger with blue cheese and bacon.

Getting a little full by now but we had two more stops!! First was Atlanta native rapper Ludacris’s Chicken and Beer spot that had some AMAZING fried chicken and a huge selection of local beers.

Last but not least, we got a huge surprise when we headed to the larger food court in the airport and saw that they had set up a beautiful table complete with red roses, candles, sparkling water and a checkered table cloth. This was from Low Country restaurant and they served us fried chicken, ribs, salmon, shrimp and so many sides! It was amazing!!
